What do you think of those new touch phones? I am crazy about them. I cannot wait to get me one. I am waiting for november to upgade my phone with At&T to get my 3G iphone. And you do you like them?
I need advice
When my neighbors clean their house, they leave the garbage in front of my door. They use my parking spot all the time. They give parties all the time. There speakers are loud and they make so much noise. When I ask them lower the sound, they insult me. And every time I call the police, they don’t catch them because they mask the parties. Do you think that I should drag them to court?
Dear Classmate
Last week you asked me for some advice about buying a new car. Sincerely, it is always good to buy a brand new car from a dealer. However, if you are not financially able to do so, you could buy a barging car. Make sure that you found one with low mileages, in good shape. Also, before you buy it, make sure that a garage mechanic takes a look at it. After all, you will go wherever you want. It is a car like the other ones. And then, when you ready you will by your brand new car. Good luck.
Two different personalities
I live with my parents and my little sister, in Stamford. I usually spend most of my time with my father but, even we are related, we have totally different personalities. My father is a good man. He is a quiet and serious person. He likes to do everything right. He is not an outgoing person but sometimes, he tells to my sister and me some jokes. My father doesn’t have many friends but everyone in our neighborhood, church and at his work love him. They call him “the sage”. Even though I have some qualities like my father, I am really an open person. I love to hangout with my friend and have some fun. In brief, even thought people say that I look like him, we totally have two different personalities.
Happy mothers days
Happy mothers days to all mothers in my class. May God help you raise us, your kid, with patience and love. We love you.
The Limousine
The best limousine I have been on. It was quite luxurious. It was a beautiful big Mercedes. Its color was beige. He had 8 doors adorn with gold grippes. The entire windows were black. From afar, the car twinkled in under the light. The inside was well equipped. It had leather seats. They felt like orthopedic beds. It also had its own bar, a television with video game, DVD player, a good sound system and etc… It even had an entertainment center. That is life baby. I can not wait to get on another one.
A Humanitarian Man
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. Young men, he was an excellent student. As his father and grandfather, he was a Baptist minister. He married to Coretta Scott who was always with him during is fight. They have four children: Yolanda Denise, Marin Luther Ш, Dexter Scott and Bernice Albertine King. King was a great man. He works hard for the civil rights and the racial equality in the USA. He participated in the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott and many other peaceful demonstrations that protested the unfair treatment of African-Americans. His speech “I Have a Dream”, on August 28, 1963, had really touched people heart. King is the men who fight for all off these opportunities that back people are enjoying nowadays. He was the youngest person who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for his efforts to end segregation, racial discrimination through civil disobedience and other non-violent means. Martin Luther King Jr. was a humanitarian man because he fought to obtain the racial equality.
Wedding in My Country
In all over the world, wedding is the best day for two lovers who decide to share their life. In my country, it is always a big day. First, before the nuptial ceremony, each lover can not see each other. The day of the wedding, the future partners prepare themselves for this special moment of their life. The girls wear a beautiful expensive white dress and a veil over her face. The boy wears a black or white suit. The suit can also be a match of a white top and a black bottom. Other people also make up for the big day. The attendances of the couple make them beautiful too. The girls wear nice bridesmaid’s dresses, while the boys wear the same suit as the groom with a different vest. Parents and groomsmen make them chick too. Meanwhile, there are a lot of things going on. The church and the reception place are being decorated, and in the kitchen, the foods are being prepared. Secondly, it is the nuptial ceremony. The groom arrives before his future partner to wait for her in front of the hotel. Then the bride arrives with her parents. The wedding starts with the march past of the couple attendants. Then a little girl throws flowers on the ground, follow by the groomsmen, and finally the wedding march. The bride is usually accompanied by her father or both parents who give their daughter hand to their future stepson. During the ceremony, the pastor or the father gives to the future partners’ instructions for their new life together. The couple exchanges their wedding rings and vows. After that, everybody goes to the wedding reception. The groomsman makes his speech to the newlyweds. The couple exchanges their champagne glasses. Then everybody eat delicious dishes specially prepared for the event. Somewhere in the reception room always impose the big wedding cake. Then the couple opens the dance and everybody dance. Some Chrétien weddings don’t have that part. After that, the couple goes to his honeymoon. Wedding in my country is always a pig party. Everyone is happy. It is a day that the newlyweds will never forget.
Sell your old books
Do you know that you can sell your old books at the end of the semester? I am going to do that in exchange of my book for the summer. Isn’t that cool? It also helps to save the trees. We would not have to cut them to make paper. Also is no worthy to keep them because the authors change their books all the time.
Languages I want to learn
Beside Creole, French and English, I would like to study Italian, German and Spanish. I want to study Spanish because it sounds beautiful when I am hearing spoken Spanish people talk among themselves. I have to study Italian and German because I am an opera singer. The most beautiful classical compositions are written in those two languages. So in order to become a professional opera singer, I need to be fluent in those languages.
Italy
I would like to visit Rome in Italy. I don’t know. Maybe when I get married, my husband and I will go there for our honey moon. I would like to see their architectures. I have seen them in book. However, I would like to feel the power of The “Colosseum in Rome”, “the tower of Pisa”, “the Cathedral of Milan” and etc… You know what; I definitely have to go there.
Beverly Hill Chihuahua
I don’t know if you watch this movie yet but it is really funny. Chloe, a rich Chihuahua of Beverly Hill get dog napped in Mexico. She had a lot of adventure and visited her origin place. You got to watch it. My mom loves it. My family enjoys watching it together.
I am impatient
Most of the time, it happens that I am really impatient. I don’t like to stay on the check out line when I am shopping. I hate when I call any customer service company and they put me on hold for eternity and etc… I really need to work on it. Hopefully my boyfriend is working on my patience with me. He better succeed. If not, I might be impatient with him to. I am kidding.
Final
Final is on Tuesday. Is everyone ready? Don’t be scared you are really smart student. Just review and do your best at the exam. Break a leg everyone.
The paradise.
The catholic mistress asks her 3rd grade students:
- “According to you, which part of the body arrives first at the paradise?”
- Little Julie raises the finger and answers: “the hands Mam!”
- Really? And why is that so Julie? “
- “Well Madam, when we pray, we joint our hands towards the sky. “
- The small Alfred answers in his turn: “our feet madam”
- Our feet? How come Alfred? We are listening.
- “Well last night, I was sick and I went to my parents’ bedroom. They weren’t sleeping. My mother had her feet in the air and was saying: “Oh my God, I am coming, I am coming… fortunately dad was on her, if not we would have lost her.

My most serious concern.
As I grow up, my most serious concern is my future. What I want to become, how I would like to live, what kind of family and home I want to have are the questions that are guiding me toward my goal. I want to be a successful woman in whatever career I choose, have two to four kids and a loving husband, the house of my dream, and finally be happy.
Who would I like to marry?
I would like to marry someone who can be my best friend. I must able to talk about any subject with him. He needs to be a caring, understanding, funny and loving person. I don’t like lazy man. I also would like him to be an artist. And you, if you not married yet, who would you like to marry?
Do not paly with my dog's girlfriend
My dog’s girlfriend name is Doggie. Seriously, they are couple like any human couple. They meet everyday, either at my house or at Doggie’s house. If my dog sees another male talking to his girl, that buddy will be a dead meat if we don’t remove it fast under Bobby. Bobby is a bred of german shepherd and golden retriever. So you get the picture. The son of our neighbor, Doggie’s owner, my sister and I, married them. We put a white veil on Doggie’s head and a bowtie for Bobby. They had five beautiful puppies after that. They were really cute. We gave them to other people.
I hate to take shots
If there is something that I hated, hate, and will hate for the rest of my life is “vaccine”. I ate when the doctor ask me to take vaccines. Before my appointment at the US embassy, in Haiti, I have to take several shots. Please, do not laugh at me. I only saw the point of the needle that I started crying like a baby. The nurse had to call my dad, so I could take those stupid shots. Guest how old I was? I was 20 years old.
My favorite color
My favorite color is "garnet red". I loooooovvvvveeeee this color. On my wedding, I want to have all shades of this color. Hopefully, my boyfriend is crazy about this color too. It’s our couple’s color. Isn’t that wonderful? And you, what is your favorite color?
Plane.
I think plane is the most significant invention in the history of the world. Nowadays, there are no limits to any country. Just take a plane and “Bon Voyage”. Thanks to the Wright brother.
Different types of transportation
So far I have used five different types of transportation: car, bus, train, boat and plane. However, I am looking forward to ride on a horse. And you, how many type of transportation have you used in your life?

A true story
One day I was studying with my mom. We were going over some math formula and my mother asked me to repeat: (a + b) ² = a² + 2ab + b². So I was repeating again and again and again. Then while my mother and I were playing the game formula, she asked me to recite the formula above. I swear to God, my dog said: “woo woo, wo, woo woo woo, wo, woo woo. He recited the formula on his one language, the way I was repeating it. It was so funny that every time I see that formula I smile. And since then, I never forgot this formula because of my dog Bobby.
A crazy joke
Realizing that the psychiatric center is too crowded, the doctors decided to release the ones that have improved their behavior. They emptied a deep pool. Than, told to the crazy people that they are having a pool party today and that it was time to enjoy the water. They all started jumping in the empty pool. Some were dying, some were injured. While the chef doctor was observing the situation, he remarked that one of them didn’t jump in the pool and were staring at them. So, he walked towards him and asked him: “why don’t you join your friends”. The crazy men answered: “Are you crazy Doc (abbreviation for Doctor), I will never jump in. Don’t you hear them screaming? The water is too too cold! I am not going in”.
Tito and Gego
One day, Tito and Gego, two crazy people were planning to escape a psychiatric center. Tito said: “Gego, if the gate is not to height, we will jump over it or, if there is enough space, we will slide undereath it. Gego went to examine the gate while Tito was keeping an eye on the doctors. When Gego came back he said:
Gego: “Tito we are screwed”
Tito: Why?
Gego: The gate is open. We can not escape!
Tito answered: “Why those psychos have to let the gate open.”
Gego: “Tito we are screwed”

Gego: The gate is open. We can not escape!
Tito answered: “Why those psychos have to let the gate open.”

Credit Cards
My friends, if you know that you are a crazy shopper, do not apply for any credit cards because they can be your nightmares. Credit cards are here for emergencies. Nowadays, people can not afford having crazy bills, because this is the time were the banks are making money since most are the people are losing their jobs. So, please guys, close your eyes on those offers that they are sending you. They are not worth it. Trust me.
Obsessed
This week, I went to see “Obsessed” at the movie theater. Oh my God, that movie rocks. If I were in the situation of Beyoncé, I would have done the same to that woman, maybe even worse. However, I need to admit that they all played their role really well; especially for the woman that plays Liza. If you have not watched it yet, go see it. You will have a lot of fun.
I hated to be sick.
Last month, I was really sick. I had the flu. It was horrible. I missed classes for three weeks, and I couldn’t go to my job. Even though I had received my assignment online, I couldn’t focus because I had a strong migraine. I felt that my head was big like a big pumpkin. My eyes were on fire. I could not breathe since my sinuses were block. I could not support my ears either because they were extremely hurting me. I went to the clinic; they prescribed me some medications, but still no recovery. Finally, when my parents saw that I was suffering too much, they gave me some cup of tea, made with some leaves from Haiti that my mother brought after her last year. After three days taking those bitter teas, I felt so much better. I hope to be able to catch up all my homework this week. Friends, I do not wish for you to get that flu because it is really horrible.

If I went on a deserted Island
If I went on a deserted Island, I would take my Bible with me so I can read his words and meditate. I would choose my boyfriend to go with me because he has a great sense of humor. And for a modern convenience, I would take a good orthopedic bed to go with because I do not negotiate my sleep time with anybody. And you, which book would you take? With whom would you go? Which one modern convenience would you take with you?
The secret of happiness
The secret of happiness is to be yourself. Do whatever you want as long as you don’t bother anybody else. Make sure that you smile or laugh almost every second. Be happy and love yourself because you are the most beautiful person in this planet. If somebody or something wants to make you sad, say to yourself: “my life is too short to be unhappy.” You shine wherever you pass, because you are light. Without you, this world would have no sense. “Love yourself for who you are” is the secret of happiness.

My Dog Bobby
Bobby is the best dog I have never had. He is smart, interesting, athletic and funny. Every morning, he wakes me up at seven to get ready for school. When someone knocks at the door, he knows if it is a member of the family, a friend or a stranger. Bobby loves to play football with my dad. But every time he gets the ball, he does not share it. Bobby loves to run. Every morning, after he sees everybody, he starts running in the back yard. Bobby likes to drink champagne and beer, likes to eat cake and chicken. Bobby loves music. When my sister and I practice on our violins, he looks to seem asleep under either one of us chairs. Sometimes he stands on his rear paws and dances. I love my dog Bobby. He is smart, interesting, athletic and funny.
“The Voice”
Today, I have the pleasure to present one of the greatest women of all, who the crossover success opened doors for many other African American women to find success in the world of pop and movies. She is well known for her “penetrating pop-gospel voice”. They even name her: “The Voice”. Let me introduce Whitney Houston.
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born in august 9, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey. She is the third and youngest child in her family. With her mother, Cissy Houston, Cousin Dionne Warwick, and godmother Aretha Franklin, all known as notable figures in the gospel, rhythm and blues, and soul genres, Whitney Houston started singing as a soloist at eleven years old. Her first performance was "Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah" with the junior gospel choir at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. When Houston was a teenager, her parents divorced and she continued to live with her mother. She attended a Roman Catholic single-sex high school, Mount Saint Dominic Academy. While she was still in school, she would continue to be surrounded by music from her mother, her cousin, and godmother, all of which would have an impact on her as a musician and performer.
Whitney Houston received many awards from 1985 to 2008. One of her successful box office hit is The Bodyguard movie into Hollywood in the 90s. The soundtrack to that movie is the best-selling soundtrack of all time, and the single "I Will Always Love You" is the best-selling single by a female artist, and also the 6th best-selling song in the history of music. She continued the decade with other successful and culturally significant projects before returning to the studio. Whitney traveled all over the world. In 1986, Greatest Love Tour in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia following the success of the singer's debut album. In 1987, Moment of Truth World Tour started in the summer of 1987, following the release of her sophomore album Whitney. The tour continued overseas during 1988. He sang in North-America, Europe. The “I'm Your Baby Tonight World Tour” was a concert tour of arenas that included 101 concert dates in North America and Europe in 1991. The Bodyguard World Tour in 1993, where she performed all the sound track of that The Bodyguard’s album in North America and Europe. My Love Is Your Love World Tour in 1999 with total of 68 concerts in North America and Europe. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Houston is the fourth best-selling female recording artist of all time, and she also is the "The Most Awarded Female Artist of All Time" according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Whitney Houston, being a great pop-gospel singer, had also some drugs and health issues. Was obsession a factor of this orientation? Logically, she was born talented with that full energy and such power in her voice. According to music research, our vocal cords are the most fragile instruments. So, Whitney would never choose to take drugs for a success in a career. Such influence came from a marriage with Bobby Brown who had numerous run-ins with the law.
To conclude, Whitney Elizabeth Houston also known as “The voice” is one of the most successful women in the United States. She opened doors for many of those young people who want to achieve their dreams in that career. She encountered many difficulties in her life, but she remains a model to look up to in that domain. She is “The Voice”.
The Ice Continent
The Ice Continent
Situated in the southern hemisphere, the ice continent, known as Antarctica, is one of the most controversial and famous destinations for any tourist. Let me introduce you to ANTARCTICA.
To begin, Antarctica has no permanent residents. But, number of governments maintains permanent research stations throughout the continent. Are tourists welcome? No, even though Scientists appreciate their desire to experience this beautiful landscape. They think that they always had to leave their work in order to please groups of tourists who are just taking a vacation. Antarctica is the center of important scientific research, and it must be preserved for this purpose. Meteorologists are now looking at the effects of the ozone hole and they are trying to understand the global warming. Because of the beauty of this landscape, tourism at Antarctica has many effects on tourists such as their attitudes, career, educational opportunities, economy, lifestyle, morale and social values. After such exploration of one of the beauty of nature, some people become more concern about their environment. A few of them decide to become Scientists. They also can make money from this vacation by selling books about Antarctica, or photographs of that blue light shining through the mountains of ice at Antarctica. This vacation can also change their life style, influence their morale and social values.
Secondly, tourists cause many accidents in this place. They leave trash on beaches and disturb the plants and animals. Because tourists like to take pictures of baby penguins and do not pay attention to what their feet are stepping on, they destroy rare plants which can take 100 years to grow back since Antarctica is a frozen place. In 1989, a cruise ship caused an oil spill that killed many penguins and destroyed a five year scientific project. Due to the fact that Antarctica belongs to no country, and there is no government here, the need to protect this place becomes even greater. Scientists, who are concerned about the environment of Antarctica, think they should close this place in order to protect Antarctica from tourists. If not, there may be serious consequences for us all. For example, the ice of Antarctica holds 70 percent of the world’s fresh water. If it melts, ocean levels could rise 200 feet and flood the coastal cities of the Earth. It also provides natural air conditioning for our planet. Scientists think that Antarctica should remain a place for careful and controlled scientific research and they should not allow tourism to bring possible danger to the planet. They should stop tourist from traveling to Antarctica to protect this fragile part of the planet.
Thirdly, if everyone keeps saying that Antarctica is a beautiful landscape, I would definitely travel to this place. I am definitely concerned about the Scientists worries, but they need to know that they can’t preserve this fabulous ice from our eyes. Instead they should put directions, instructions and safety signs to let us help them preserve this masterpiece. Also, they should think about opening a “travel agency to Antarctica”. This way, they will invest the money on research studies at Antarctica.
In summarize, Antarctica is a beautiful landscape. It is definitely a Place to visit to. Scientists must continue with their research studies and tourists must explore this place. I think scientists and tourists should work together to preserve this wonderful masterpiece which is Antarctica.

"Places I call home"
A place you call home is a place where you feel comfortable. Your spirit, your hearth, your soul feel united to this place. I might be an immigrant to the USA, but my home is in Haiti. I think about Haiti every day, almost every minute. I miss its beautiful beaches, food and cultural atmosphere. I miss my country so much that sometimes I feel that I could travel there, and go straight to the beach, have fun with my friends, partying all night until we get bored and find something else to do. I am missing my delicious “Pate Kóde” mmm how good my pate is when it is fresh cook. And my favorite sweet mush called “Bouillie de Pomme de terre” (Mush potato), mmm what a delicacy!. I have so much that I can say about my country that I better stop now. See you.
